Death Café

Death Cafés are an international network of informal discussion groups where neighbours gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. The objective is to increase awareness of death with a view of helping people make the most of their (finite) lives. Death Cafés are a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.

The Crescent Beach Death Café gathers to reflect on mortality and everything after on an occasional basis. Facilitated by Community Programmer Neil Fernyhough (formerly an active clergyperson and social worker), the vibe is informal and relaxed. Refreshments are provided, and donations to help offset the costs are welcome.

In order to allow meaningful participation by everyone, registrations are limited to twelve.

If you would like to be included on a mailing list for future Cafés, please email Susan at communityprograms@alexhouse.net, or sign up through our online form below.
