Welcome to Alex House
Contributing to a vibrant, inclusive, and caring community!
Your Neighbourhood House
Operating in what is colonially known as Surrey/White Rock, on the stolen and occupied land of the Semiahma (Semiahmoo, q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), and qʼʷa:n̓ƛʼən̓ (Kwantlen) Nations, Alex House is a neighbourhood house providing its local communities with the services and programs they need to flourish into a thriving and interconnected community.
Alex House is a place-based multi-service organization in Surrey/White Rock that works collaboratively with the community to respond to the emergent and diverse needs of our neighbours. We are committed to place-making and working to create a vibrant, inclusive, and caring community where people from diverse backgrounds can learn and grow together, empowering them to make positive changes in their neighbourhoods.
As a member of the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC, our work is place-based so that we can respond to the unique emerging needs of our growing local community.

Alex House’s decolonization efforts.
Alex House is intentionally decolonizing our approach, recognizing the impacts of colonization on Indigenous people. We aspire to be an anti-racist organization, learning and adjusting our approach, as we understand the systemic impacts of racism.
Our Programs & Resources
In our efforts to continuously provide value to our community, Alex House offers a wide variety of programs for families, youth and the community as a whole. Whether it’s large events like Alex Fest, supportive gatherings like our Youth Space or supportive resources like our one-to-one family support, we collaborate with our community members to ensure that Alex House is serving their unique and changing needs.
