A Crescent Beach tradition of fun for all ages.
In 1974, a group of local residents came together to create a neighbourhood festival that featured music, crafts, food, and fun for kids and adults alike. Almost half-a-century later, Alex Fest continues to create new memories and lasting connections in the community.
The festival is a place for neighbours to come together and share their talents, skills, and services to the place we all call home. Held on the last Saturday in May, the festival showcases local performers, crafters and artisans, and community groups. There are plenty of kids’ activities, local vendors and, of course, food!

Want to get involved in Alex Fest?
Every May, Alex Fest attracts hundreds of people to our beautiful Crescent Beach location. This annual event seeks to partner with neighbours looking to share their skills, talent, and creative energy with their community. The community celebration also provides so many opportunities to those who want to entertain, sell or demonstrate their crafts, lead an activity, host a grassroots community table, or simply volunteer to help ensure everyone who comes is able to create a fun new memory,
These are some of the opportunities to participate in Alex Fest:
As a performer (music, dance, spoken word, children’s)
As a locally-based vendor
As a community group seeking to improve your neighbourhood
As a craftsperson or artisan looking to demonstrate your skills
As a volunteer looking to help create something special for your community
As someone who just shows up to experience the fun!
Please note that Alex Fest seeks to showcase locally-based enterprises; with a preference for those vending their own and/or other locally made products
